As a crafter, I generally take several projects with me everywhere and I don't need an excuse to get the needles and hooks out, be it in the GP waiting room, waiting for the kids to finish a class, on the train, quick break on a hike, Land's End (see pic) literally anywhere and everywhere! But this is a good chance to come together and show the world what we love doing and why, everyone is welcome!
Worldwide Knit in Public Day was first held in 2005. Originally founded by Danielle Landes and since 2011 it has been organised by Danish knitter Astrid Salling. It's motto is "better living through stitching together".
We are planning to sit outside in the courtyard behind the shop in Kings Arcade, opposite our lovely neighbours at Forty Five Records, who sell hot and cold drinks (prosecco has been mentioned) and will be able to keep us refreshed! If the weather looks bad I have another idea but for now I'm keeping optimistic!
