This wool is very special. Pure Cumbrian Herdwick wool, spun in Yorkshire. I visited Crookabeck farm recently and had the privilege of cuddling and feeding a two-day-old Herdwick lamb, it was lovely to think that the wool I was buying was grown a few metres away by very happy, well looked after sheep. Crookabeck farm is to be found in Patterdale, where Mary keeps Angora goats as well as Herdwicks. An incredible farmer and shepherdess, Mary knows her Herdwicks well and her wool is a testament to that.
