Methera is a beautiful blend of wool, handpicked from four different breeds of sheep, all sourced from four local farms in Lancashire and Cumbria.
Methera (four) comes from a sheep counting system (yan, tan, tethera, methera) that was traditionally used by shepherds in northern England.
It mixes a small percentage of Zwartbles with Cheviot, Shetland & BFL, resulting in a light grey base colour. It’s a 4 ply weight and worsted spun in Yorkshire for drape and strength, while still maintaining its wooliness!
We are thrilled that designers we love have chosen Methera to work with;
